Miss fixer
The 23 year old redhead was born in Trondheim and she grew up all over southern part of Norway. Ingebjørg was in early age introduced to outdoor life by her grand father, and as the year passed by, Ingebjørg has become the most experienced outdoor enthusiast in her family.
Many years as a goalkeeper in handball, has made Ingebjørg tough, she can push her way through a storm if it is needed. If she falls, she jumps back on her feet in no time, and always stands up tall, no matter how tired she might be. Ingebjørg has got a strong will; she takes the consequence of a goal she puts up for herself. She does what is needed, if not more! Ingebjørg is best described as a pack of energy; she has a serious problem sitting still. Luckily for the expedition, Ingebjørg uses most of her surplus energy in a constructive way, cooking, doing the dishes, filling up the thermoses, or fixing things that is broken. She actually gets happy if there is something wrong with the burner, for instance. When she is in a fixing mode, nothing can stop her; she can go on for hours, and even an hour more. Ingebjørg can impress even the coolest and strongest mechanics in Longyearbyen, with her natural talent for technical problem solving!
Ingebjørgs first try as a ski bum ended up with a broken knee after just a few days in the Italian Alps. There was nothing else to do but make a 180 turn with the van and head back north to Lofoten. Like the two other girls, Lofoten plays an important role in Ingebjørgs life. She was a student at Lofoten folkehøgskole 01/02, the year after Vera and Kristin, but got stuck between the peaky mountains and was a teacher’s assistant the following year. The year 2005, Ingebjørg wanted to make some important turns, so she went to Canada for some real powder pumping.
Ingebjørg loves men, and men love her. Ingebjørgs biggest concern for the expedition is that she is going to be separated from men for more than a month! To make the unbearable situation less unbearable, she has made sure that it is the most attractive men in Longyearbyen who’s got the transport responsibility for the expedition. Ingebjørg looks forward to jump up on the back of one of the coolest snowmobiles in town and get the good smell of men and gasoline!
